• What does BPA FREE mean?

Aquasteel Products are 100% BPA Free. What does this mean? BPA stands for Bisphenol A, a chemical compound commonly found in plastic drink and food containers. BPA can be harmful to humans and animals. Becuase Aquasteel bottles are Food Grade Stainless Steel, the properties of the metal do not find their way into your water.
  • Why is the sports cap made out of plastic and not stainless steel?

Teeth. We wanted to protect your teeth with our choice of polypropylene #5 because it has no known leaching characteristics and it is soft if you hit a bump on the road.
  • Is it ok to put hot liquids in my Aquasteel Bottle?

No. Aquasteel bottles are single walled and should not be used for holding hot liquids. Warm beverages can be used but at a personal comfort level. The single-walled construction allows more volume and even an option to put your bottle on a flame.
  • Can I put my Aquasteel Bottle in the freezer?

We do not recommend this and it will void your manufacturer's warranty.
  • Can I put my Aquasteel bottle on a stove?

Yes, you can put it on fire or a stove. Beware that you can melt the plastic lid or burn yourself.
  • What is stainless steel and what makes it so great?

Stainless steel is an iron-containing alloy made from elements found on earth: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen, and manganese. Properties of the final alloy are created by varying amounts of these elements. There are more than 57 stainless steels recognized as standard alloys on the market. Aquasteel are constructed from high quality sanitary grade 304 stainless steel which has low nickel content. Stainless steel has excellent resistance to stain or rust due to its chromium content making it a material of choice among the food processing, dairy and brewery industries. Stainless steel is easy to clean, durable, inert and sanitary.
